How can Americans be okay with the government letting Trump create a $1.8 billion fund for what he is calling the “Anti-Weaponization Fund”? This is a fund Trump wanted to create to reward his supporters for their wrongdoing. He wants to reward people with money for breaking into the U.S. Capitol instead of punishing them for their crimes. And this reward money is coming from tax dollars. Republicans always claim to be the party of law, that if you break the law, there are consequences. But now it is there are only consequences depending on who you support politically. These are some of the same people that complain every day about inflation and rising prices but now are ok with this? Trump supporters continue to justify everything he does, and this is another example and really it should not come off as a surprise to anyone. The claim is these people were unfairly targeted for their politically beliefs, but most of them admitted to breaking into the Capitol, destroying property, and even assaulting police officers. In any other situation, Republicans would be demanding tougher punishment for people attacking law enforcement and damaging government buildings but not when it is one of their own. The smartest move right now financially might be to commit a crime in support of Trump, and instead of prison time, you get money. Doesn’t sound like a bad deal, does it?
